CONCEPT

This project of a two-room apartment has been developed for a young IT specialist, his main expectation has been monochromatic, modern interior with integration of solutions that are unusual but practical and convenient to use. The customer wished to preserve the main layout of the real estate developer, but we've had an opportunity to move doorways and add a spacious walk-in closet to store a bicycle, snowboard and sports gear. We've also faced a task of creating a working space in the bedroom zone, we've selected the balcony as the working place, dismantled a part of a non-load-bearing wall, protected floors, ceilings and walls from the cold, installed underfloor heating and an additional electric heater in the bedroom.

The interior has obvious contrasting solutions in terms of painting, finishing, textures, this decision has been made intentionally as it has enabled us to create a brighter and more catchy design not merging into single zephyr space.

Another project feature is the kitchen, the front panel has been made out of a full-fledged metal sheet protecting the wall in the cooking zone and being a non-trivial solution that has not been widely used at the time of project design. Minimalistic facade design and absence of top cupboards over the cooking zone is another bold decision integrated in this project. Another accent is a cooker hood built into a gypsum panel case covered with metal panels developed specifically for this project.
